The aim of the project is to create a certified methodology for a complex of monitoring and risk assessment tools of environmental contamination by perchloroethylene and its degradation products. The methodology will contain: 1) approaches for sampling of selected environmental matrices such as water, soil, sediments, air, wood (tree cores), and organism tissues, 2) methodology for the analysis of these matrices, 3) methodology for bio indication with tests of ecotoxicity, and 4) approaches for evaluation of human and environmental risks emerging from presence of PCE and its degradation products in the environment.
