Technological system for wine yeast selection in national winemaking
The aim of the present project is to develop complex and universally applicable testing system for the acquisition of the most technologically pertinent yeast strain. The major target is to constantly and consistently obtain objective, reproducible, and reliable results from the testing system. These results will be based on the certainty acquired from the precise pilot operation. Within the project framework, it is planned to achieve the isolation and verification of at least 10 new wine-production strains or their combination.

Decontamination methods and detection of legislatively controlled
persistent chloracetanilide pesticides and their metabolites
The aim of the project is to optimize the state-of-art of OMICS methods for
targeted acquisition of microorganisms useful in xenobiotics decontamination
(primarily persistent pesticides). Particular aim is to obtain microbial isolates
useful in decontamination of the persistent chloracetanilide pesticides including
their metabolites, which are legislativelly regulated in the Czech Republic.
Among applicable results belong also a certified technology for pesticides and
their metabolites removal from water and validated methods for the detection of
chloracetanilide pesticides and their metabolites in soil matrix. The general aim
is to contribute to the national action plan, i.e. to reduce the risks related to
pesticides use.
