Industrial wastewater treatment method research and development
The objective of this project is the research and development of methods and technologies relevant for industrial wastewater treatment and the design of multifunctional experimental unit for biological treatment of wastewater based on biofilm modules capable of simultaneous denitrification and desulfurization. The experimental unit will serve for the verification of the industrial research and development outcomes and their scale up for operation within the Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. premises in Litvínov, or for operation at the premises of other customers potentially interested in the newly developed technology and its optimisation.
The project will be divided on three key areas:
 
1. The development of multifunctional experimental devise for the industrial wastewater treatment.
 
2. The development of methodology for complex analysis of sulphur-compounds in wastewater.
 
3. The research and technology verification for pollutant removal on the basis of biological sulphur oxidation and autotrophic denitrification within the biofilm module frame.
